Leone was born and raised on the Canadian prairies
but currently lives and studies on the East Coast.
Leone received her BFA in Creative Writing at the University of Victoria in 2017. Currently, she’s a Master’s Candidate at Boston University, studying fiction. Her favourite genres of writing are Creative Non-Fiction, Fiction, and Comics. In the past, Leone has held positions at various publications, including Creative Nonfiction Editor at This Side of West, Design Director at the Martlet, and Fiction Intern at the Malahat Review. She is currently an intern at AGNI.
In her spare time, Leone can be found drawing, watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or fiercely defending the oxford comma online.
Her nonfiction has appeared in the Bellingham Review, Saltern, and Canadian Notes and Queries. Her photography has appeared in This Side of West. Her fiction has appeared in The Warren Review. Her illustrations regularly appear in the Martlet.
